Highly.

I bought one for a council job, loads of deadwooding big oaks, spending a bit of time getting a bag up on a one tree job is ok but if you want to do 8 a day then getting a bag in quickly is important. some people are great with a throwbag, I am not, if you aren't either a big shot is a great investment.

Yeah they are great , had a big welly to get in last week... The big shot punched a hole hole through all the dead and on to the only limb that was not slanting down wards in the lower canopy, an impossible shot throwing... I always take my jameson kit on site the big shot, hook and adapted sandvik pruning head are a must have For an easy life IMO

There pretty good for getting a high anchor quickly but difficult gauging the power of lower anchors. Poles are probably quicker but if you do get a big shot make sure you get a cube as it makes life so much easer.

I use a Big Shot but have given up on the cube and now use a garden trug instead. I've got three trugs that sit inside each other - saving space and keeping contents steady.

One trug holds a shot line, the other holds an access rope and the third has a climbing line in it.
