You are right there, so this client will tell everyone that her tree surgeon done exactly what she wanted and she is delighted, as far as i can see thats great advertising via word of mouth. :001_smile:

 

Too right, not certain I would of posted the pictures but what the client wants the client gets. Principals don't put butter on parsnips.

Word of mouth is one of the best forms of advertising, even though the customer requested it, its not a very good advert for future business.

 

Maybe but the general public are completely ignorant when it comes to target pruning and growth points. I did a 25% reduction in a village I'd never worked in, apparently it was heavily critizised because all the expert horticulturalist said it should of been lopped back harder...to nothing!!! People aint got a clue, give it 3 years and that will have regrowth from the other side searching it's way back through anyways.!6

did a very similar job at a local church a few years ago. Completely stripped all foilage off them too...the vicar is planting clematis up it!...uugh!
