what length is the art guide? looked on jonsies but doesn't say.....

 

wonder if there is a different bend radius of the rope between the pulley on the art guide and the pinto.

 

I take it both setups will allow a spliced eye or stitched eye rope to be used? if so they then need a retreival ball connecting for retreival?

SO can the Treemagineers Pulley Saver. I think it would come down to personal preference and budget.

Tryed something simular years ago and found the pulley jammed against the large metal ring..causing lots more rope friction at some angled almost jamming it.

 

Have you seen the home made rope guide thread?? I would personally make a small prussik or buy a tape sling and a few meters Of 10mm hitch cord. Tie a large eye in the front for the pulley to pass through then all you need is something to attach to the tail like a small clip stitched on to catch the rope when pulling out.
