Fold it in half, so grab an inside corner in the middle and pull in as you fold down, this turns the bag in half and holds open. Simple I will post a pic if you don't get it. :-)

Hi there do any of you guys have any tips on how to keep Builders bags open when shoveling in the day rakings .

 

i fold the top half of the bag down ,not sure how to discribe it realy

Cheers guys this is the method we use . The winds over the last few day have been making it a two man job . Just thought one of you lot must have an ingenious simple method that holds the bag open . Well hopefully :001_smile:

Put a couple of logs in the bottom until you get some sweepings in it.

just don't use builders bags

they weigh too much when full- H&S issues

bound to give you back trouble some time

use large polythene- and hold open with feet raking backwards into the bag

You will never look back
