Useful little test recommended by a fitness club manager mate.

Drop and do one press up in strict form.

Stand up. No mad rush, do it leisurely.Drop and do two press ups.

Stand up.

Drop and do three, etc. etc.

Repeat to failure.

Managed 12.2 tonight before I collapsed on my face, which is an 80 total.

My mate reckons the best he has ever seen was a 17.

Put your figures up if you fancy it, but us being arbs and it being Friday night I reckon the figures tonight won't be that impressive!

Try it.

It seems ridiculously easy until you get to about 8....

I think about 10-20 seconds ought to be the limit, any more and you are having too much rest. and if you do it with no break you might as well have stayed down and just done one big set of press ups.

I did have a sip of beer between 7 and 8.:001_smile:

nice variation with the rings.they really blast you doing press ups on them.I struggle with them now tho since my 2nd rotator cuff injury. How many of you tried the plyometric way? If I can do them at 21 stone then none you got any excuse lol.
