Thankyou for the info. I have seen the log locs, look very good. For now i have split the lengths in half so i have 2 lengths with a flat edge, then tied a scaffold plank to the middle rung of the fence so i can pin the length on top of my chopping blocks. Filled 2 bulk bags in about an hour doing this. will need something to do the 7ft lengths soon anyway. Im knocking the bulk bags out at £75 delivered free local, approx 200 decent logs. Its a real job trying to work out a price as some people seem to virtually give the stuff away!!

Get a Log Loc, very good and cheap. Search for it on google

I'm looking for something like a Log loc and wondered if you're still happy with it now you've had it a while? Any problems?

How well does it cope with short stuff, can you get the last 8" log at the end of a length?

It worked very well and the last log was easy to deal with. TBH i havent used it since i got my saw bench, but my old man claimed it and uses it most weekends in his yard doing wood for his own stove

I use a Clarke CCLH1 with an old Husky garden saw. Goes through billets or branches in seconds and is the best thing I ever bought to be honest. I love it. Lots of similar units on the market.

Now, I bring back stuff in 1-1.5m lengths and season it like that outside. Then log up quickly and safely on the horse.
