Yes basically, I too had a Ryobi, engine died so bought a KM56, strimmer, please ok if you have a hedge trimmer you need to trim 1/4 - 1/2 inch off the tube tco make it locate deep in the KM connector. As the Ryobi attachments wore out I replaced them with genuine Stihl but at least got some use out of them.

Nice 1 👍 I bought a KM56 with no attachments, only wanted a long reach hedge cutters but got a hl75 for half the price of just hedge cutters for a km!

You can tell I am just a poor gardener, my latest is a KM56 with a Florabest (Lidl) long reach split shaft off the Electric hedge trimmer £69 Inc electric engine instead of £255 for just the Stihl attachment. You do need to use the Florabest connector though.

Probably the route I'll take then, I'll take the hedge trimmer attachment to the Stihl dealer and see if they'll let me try it on a km head.

I need to replace the both wires in my 200t. The yellow one is easy but how the hell do I get the black one to pull out? I tried pulling it through from the coil and now it is stuck the other side of the hole in the top of the saw. Also how do I get the new one in?

Thanks will

Split the crankcases, that will do it! I would usually cut and solder the wire for the reasons you have. You may be able to take the grommet out but wouldn't bother!

In the past, I have just repaired it and used shrink wrap to cover the joint.

Seeing as it's raining like mad here I have been cleaning up my 372 and the oil leak it has looks to be coming from the gasket between the cases at the front.

Now I'm right in thinking this isn't a 5min job but also something I can't afford to have my dealer do.

Sounds like I'd better give up then and just keep choking it like I have for the last 6 months. Don't fancy splitting the crankcase. Wish I'd asked on here before I started fiddling
