Nice Vid martin, the blue cap is the seal and the screw on bush is the oil pump worm drive, it looks to have a built in oil seal. If you have an air leak, use the fairy liquid to see where it bubbles but would suspect it will be the big blue seal that has gone.

 

You can just see the inner ring of the ball race on the crank bearing and the oil pump shaft.

The clutch holds the drive in place and causes the seal to seal on the crankshaft, no parts required, rebuild and cut wood.

oils seals are on there way the big one is at the stihl dealer just waiting on the small one and some more bits

Easy day today before holiday.

 

19 inch roller drive, new clutch plate. Was hard to pull start. Nothing left on clutch, the mower does rev high but its the way the customer wants it so left it as it was with new clutch. Orderd another one ready for when he comes back at end of season.

 

A Renault b120 tipper, this was a call out as the seven pin plug blew the fuses on lights and indicators when the chipper was connected. What an ugly looking van.

Anyway replaced fuses lights work ok on tipper. Connected a lighboard works good, turned out to be chipper at fault, wire had come out of plug connection and crossed to another wire causing short.

 

Had an old 020 come in at the last minute, unable to start, checked comp 50 psi. No good, customer doesn't want to spend anything on it so he is putting it in his parts bin.

 

So that's it for a week I'm off to relax and enjoy the spa and swimming pools. Bench is clear and so is the yard, phone is going onto answer machine.

Suzuki 250 RMZ (not mine) made a funny crunch and bang when attempting to kick start... Not good. Common fault with these earlier 4 strokes apparently,and yes that is a Kawasaki symbol on the casing,they combined forces with Suzuki when they started developing 4stroke motocross bikes,not a good combination. So if any one has an old Suzuki/Kawasaki 250 engine kicking about??haha!
