No problem. I'm not sure how does husky in your area.

Edit. Sorry it's I know its not a husky. See what you are doing to me spud.... Talking about husky saws has got me in a mess now :lol

While I'm on the bench thread.

Had a Renault b120 tipper working on today. Overheating a bit too much on hills or loaded etc. checke ethe fan and all ok. Took the thermostat out and it had holes drilled around it to let the water go. Although this wouldn't cause overheating I was worried but dropped it in boiling water and it opened quick. Flushed the cooling out on the van and refitted the thermostat housing (yes without thermostat) to see if it was pumping around engine ok and it's fine. Next step will be the radiator.

It's not loosing any water either. It's a strange one for sure.

Have you tried starting it up from cold and opening up the rad cap to look for bubbles? The pressure in a diesel is so high that if the head gasket is starting to go between the cylinder and the water (i.e. not into the oil ways directly) you don't get water signs in the oil for a long time, or any water loss (last time we had this it did about 20k before it really went). Make it work hard though and you can get a localised pocket of boiling, which upsets the temperature gauge.
