Also been looking at parts for a 064, looking at the lists looks like a 026,260 coils fit the 064, anyone confirm this please.

Coil part number 0000 400 1300, fits many saws up to 640 Rich.

RRP 67.07 plus vat by the way

A failed insert from an ms200t, the plug got blown out.

So question.

Do I get another insert and refit, or has the hole been made too big now. And new pot.

If so does anyone have a pot for an ms200t knocking around that they wouldn't mind parting with for some beer money?

Don't want to re do the plug unless I have no choice as since it's failed already no guarantee it will hold again.

I didn't do the first repair by the way.

Ms260, needs a new piston as it has been seized. The rings are free but some light scoring on the skirts and in the bore. So clean up and meteor to be ordered.

Now my gripe over the 26 range. Why did stihl make a 44mm and a 44.7mm bore and piston? Just makes the whole, process harder,:001_rolleyes:

This one is measuring 44.68mm so will order the 44.7mm kit.

And that's the bore size

The 44mm ones tend to measure 39. something mm.

MS 260 chainsaws made before serial number 2 62 187 362 are 44mm after that 44.7mm Rich. Save that serial number in your little black book of knowledge. :001_tt2: There aren't to many 44mm ms260's just a few of the very earliest ones.

Ive had 3 in the last month or so semi seized. Most always they seem to trap and pinch the rings on the ones I see.
