U got a nice lathe to go with the miller mate

I love a bit of turning and milling as some on Here know

I enjoy making things from start to finish (from drawings)

Yeh I've got a Harrison L5A, get more use out of that than the mill as I learnt a but of turning as an apprentice (and got to look at a mill). I've seen some of you're stuff skimming pots and 'popping' pistons, very nice. I've been working through this thread over the last week or so, brilliant reading, up to page 251!

Lol spud is the brains behind the pop up

I just do what he tells me I'm just starting to build my 2nd model steam train that where the turning and milling has come for

Building something just from drawing and making it run is a big buzz

Nice one. Pic of my lathe below...I've just realised from the date stamp on the pic I've had it 5 years and i've still not treated it to levelling feet (jack screws?) or trued up the tail stop :blushing:

Bit of a hit of stuff today.

Honda needing a new cable (yes Barrie, that cable you sent months ago has finally been fitted)

Three stihl hedg cutters hs45, one blocked fuel filter, one the handle assembly was falling apart, and the other I'm not sure on as it runs fine. Did adjust the needle valve.

Ts400, hard to start, but after figuring out the owner wasn't using the decomp button I worked out why.

Very busy day yesterday (as usual) but sometimes it is one step forwards, two back.

I am a bit short of storage space due to the 50 or so machines in this week, so had stood a heavy JD 42" deck upright against the wall. It had been there quite happily for about 24hrs but then decided to topple over. Its OK, it was not damaged by falling, as its landing was cushioned by the bonnet of the same tractor which was on the floor beside it!

Only a bit of damage to the bonnet. a couple of cracks, but I will not send it back to the customer like that so it will have a new bonnet.

The downer is that the new bonnet is over £400 at trade prices.

Oh well, what is done, is done. Move on.

Ouch! You don't need that.
