Absolutely spitting feathers

The saga continues.

I have just received the letter I requested from my neighbour proving that he holds title to the peice of land he is claiming squatters rights on and he has got title. :confused1:

How he has done it without my knowledge is beyond me so I have emailed land registry today to ask them how he has done it and then on monday I'll pass the letter to my solicitor.

I have also been to see the scouts assossiation who have had a much bigger piece of land "stolen" off them off which they also knew nothing about. They have also had years of wrangling with him trying to get him to move his fence off their land.

Moral of this story now chaps is you can't trust your neighbour, if they encroach you must tell them to move their fence or wall whatever it is.

I'll see what Land Registry and my solicitor comes up with, but this is just another headache I really could do without.

Your story makes my blood boil Dean, I hope you and the scouts come out on top.

I think the best course of action would be to join forces with the scouts and seek legal advise together.

I have just had a mate come round who has thousands of business dealings all over and he knows my neighbour well, he described him as an out and out crook :scared1: and has had nothing but bad experiences with him

I'm trying to not let it stress me, it's not losing the land, it's being taken advantage of in such a sly manner and him getting one over on me.

All I can say, is it is going to cost him dearly

Is this idiot's business a local one?

Does he like to give himself a public profile locally?

If the answer to either question is yes do you happen to have any contacts at your local paper...?

Get my drift?

Keep going mate; you'll get there in the end.

Definatley. Sounds like a proper rogue. Problem is there are people like him everywhere, you sometimes wonder how they made their money, then you realise.

Hope it goes well for you Dean, and the guy gets whats coming. Not easy keeping a cool head in these type of situations, but fair play for managing so far

Phoned Land registry today to ask how he has mangaed to register title to a peice of land belonging to me.

They were rather embarrassed and said he shouldn't have been able to, we should have been written to as part of a procedure, a procedure that obviously hasn't been followed.

It has now been passed to the Land registry in house Lawyer for investigation, which they have promised to try and get an answer by the weekend.

Looks like my neighbours smugness will be short lived and if it is, it will cost him a new 600m run of fencing, I feel a little happier today
