I posted my Elm stick in a earlier thread which i had hoped to sell. After a few silly offers for it to be hauled to the other side of the country I still have it. So im now open to offers. if anyone's interested please pm me.

Length, diameter at base, diameter at top. Approx location. Access to it.

You need to do a better job in describing what you have to get offers in.

fair enough. its 3.9m long just over 1m in girth at the base. can be placed roadside for a wagon to pick up and its in leeds. ive been told a price but on its own i dont think its worth that.

Given what the final value of the stem is once milled, I reckon £5-7 a hoppus foot is a fair price. Lord knows you would be paying way north of that if you were to approach a timber dealer such as AJ Scotts or Chantlers.

 

Elm is a rapidly vanishing resource - snap it up chaps!

85 hoppus foot by my calculations, so £425 to £595 pounds. Kiln dried, in England, you've got £3400 there.

I am when it comes to timber that hasn't been milled yet. If it was burry would be a different story but it would only be worth £3 a cube to me.
