Gold blend was half price in tescos this week cant remember what it was like. Sometimes a mellow blend with more in ? . I find nescafe a bit sweet and plastic after decent expresso

Aye, that's my problem Steve. I've spoilt my taste buds with proper French coffee recently, they've gone all posh on me.

 

Gold Blend is just as bad. I don't mean bad, I just mean bland.

I really don't think there is one

 

Can live with Gold Blend if I have to.

 

I don't think Maccy D's do bad coffee for when on the go

That new Millicano is not bad, Mark. Apparently it doesn't mix too well with Strongbow though

I think costa coffee and the other chains do a pretty good coffee....

 

And before you say it I've had plenty of coffee in other european countries. It does seem to taste a bit better there but never quite sure if this is just because you're on holiday!

 

I hear what you are saying and understand because i drink all coffee if its on offer:thumbup1:

The thing i dont like is these companies selling what they call expresso or capuccino etc when it just isnt. If you want to know what they are supposed to taste, look and feel like then the only place that does it right that i have found is Italy, they did invent these tipples after all. Only place here that i would say does a proper coffee is a little place called artisan roast here in edinburgh on broughton street but they could do with learning some speed barista skills cos you need to wait for it zzzzzzz. In Italy the word coffee is hardly out your mouth and its sitting in front of you:thumbup:

I had a Mexican Expresso the other week.

 

1 Shot of tequila

1 quarter Lime

1 side of the Lime dipped in instant coffee

1 side of the Lime dipped in brown sugar.

Neck tequila and bite into Lime coffee side up.

I love my coffee, im bad for stopping at a costa if its on route but i think its because of last year i had a stint in america for a month and everyday i drank coffee and beer. My heart now lies with dunkin donuts, america runs on dunks and so does ben lol

What's expresso? I've heard of espresso but not the former or is it just a slip of the tongue/finger? Personally, large flat white every morning but usually just the one a day. I used to have up to six a day but ended up wired and getting some serious headaches. Nothing better than good coffee to kick start the day though.
