have just heard a rumour that there may be a temp ban on buying petrol in cans due to these riots, so thought I'd post on here in case anyone feels it's worth stocking up a bit just in case.

 

shouldn't affect me as I'm pretty rural, but I know it may affect some of you.

half way through toping 8 douglas firs,,we got refused by BP yesterday to fill up my combi can? he said you can put it in your car but not cans,,I said firstly its a diesel,,and secondly you`ll have a riot if you dont give me the p:thumbup1:etrol

i got stopped filling cans at morrisons ,, theyve took the can off the shelf and the staff say the got a memo saying not to sell in cans,, smaller garage let me fill up

Thats mucked up my plans tomorrow then. Got 4 20 Litre Jerry's to fill as well as 3 combis and 3 normal cans. Normally fill up at tesco but hoping it shall be ok as in a marked council van.

 

Are you sure your not making petrol bombs Matt ? :sneaky2:

Morrisons wouldn't let me fill jerry cans this morning either. They have had a UK wide e-mail stating only motor vehicles to be filled. They took some convincing to let me fill the chipper even when I am on first name terms with most of the staff there and a regular visitor.

 

Not sure what I do when the mix can and grinder are out of fuel
