i wish your bro a speedy recovery yes it is often the owners that make a dog the way it is but your bro did cross into its territerry, you said your brother had been drinking so was it at night/did he startle the dog was he towering over it. it may have been made to be a gaurd/aggressive dog or it could be a nervous dog and your brother crossed the line. i would report it no matter what and the dog has the appropriate action taken as it has been said it could be a child next week. again i wish your brother a speedy recovery.

Thats horrendous mate!!!

Hope he's better real soon!!

As you know I have a couple of fairly savage dogs, I have built a secure fence and have

double gates so people cannot get near them.

All these thieving scum bags must take some responsibility for vicious dogs, I have mine to prevent theft.

The owner made the dog this way, can understand your brothers view and wish him my best.

Unfortunatley owners are never taken to task in these cases, the dog is put down, they buy another and thats the way it is.

Sorry Hama, but not necessarily so. I have a lab, trained gundog, on a shoot he has never been a problem, if I tell him to sit and walk away for 10 minutes, he will still be there when I get back. But he hates my next door neighbour with a vengeance, I have no idea why, but if said neighbour comes to the fence for a chat, I have to warn the dog off, I'm certain if ever he tried to come over the fence and I was,nt there the dog would have him big time, maybe it is territorial but he never does it to anyone else.
