Pimp my lanyard

Inspired by the spiderjackery. arb Inventions and the next big thing threads had a look round the house, see what bits I could find andcame up with this.

introducing the LSD Retractable lanyard mk1

it’s a bit bulky, but with some tweaking I recon I can lose a third off the size and weight, would be about the same as harness bag then, I could use thinner rope but opted for blaze so its still compatible with most hardware/ hitch cord,

maybe a bit too big to be “the next big thing”

I’m just chuffed that it works:thumbup:

How much does it weigh ?

.

ha, it looks mahoosive! does it retract then? cant see how?

Does your mum know you stole one of her flowering baskets?

Haven’t weighed it yet

But doesn’t feel to much heavier than the rope by itself,

And isn’t that much bigger than a coiled 5m bundle

Made it from an old vacuum with a retractable cable my old lodger left Steve, just push a button and it whizzes back inn :thumbup1:

easily make it lighter, losing the big black dmm pulley would be a good start, did have a small plastic stein one but gave it away, also the casings made from electric cable, (from the same vacuum) could quite easily be hollow tube.

I applaud your efforts, its things like that where ideas begin!

You'll be able to claim to be the first in years to come when industry big wigs steal your idea

Cheers mate

Not first unfortunately, checkout the spiderjackery thread,

But first in the uk maybe,
