Recent frosty weather has had me busy last 3 weekends but I’m very small scale and only sell about 12cube a year. Done 4 already this winter so promising start. Wife might get a present for Christmas !!! Although I don’t think she wants a generator or a log splitter !!

Similar to Silverhooker, small scale as a two man band so maybe 15 to 20 cube a year. Sold out of seasoned hardwood completely, about 5 cube of soft wood left most of which will go out as nets or burn myself.

Next years stock is drying nicely in new purpose built sheds

Small scale and softwood only, but still churning out around 20 bulk bags/week for the past month. Oddly enough it's the longer (15") logs that are going well and the demand for 9" ones hasn't really got going yet.  Happy to wait until later on in the winter for them to pick up to where they were last year.

Got this message in my mail today. His previous log supplier has gone AWOL so he gave us a call.

Please excuse for sounding like a teenager for one sentence. Hopefully, the sentiment is not lost!

‘Mate, these logs are bangin’!’

Our boiler is loving them and we are toasty warm. Thanks again

Never heard logs described as "bangin" before ?

Did another 3 cube today, could be my record year. 7 before Christmas is very promising, likely to be down to to last few sticks by February at this rate. All just neighbours and word of mouth, though won’t be giving up the day job.

Very good,  nearly run out.

Same here. It's a tricky balance of keeping enough back for the regulars to the end of the season but selling almost everything by the end.
