Be glad to see the back of the sales etc this year!

 

Done ALL the cutting, splitting and loading all on my own this time, and so I'm starting to feel the toll it's taken....

Did 728 tones. This snow and ice its only on surface. It was at 18% of humidity before that...

If it's in tidy lengths and not too much over 18inch or under 6inch diameter then hardwood is around £40-45 but it will all depend on who's buying.

 

 

 

We tend not to buy softwood roadside but I think about 25 would be right, I'm sure someone will correct me though.

 

 

 

Delivered in we're averaging 57 for hardwood and 35 for softwood both plus vat.

that's quite a lot, doesn't leave much for profit. How many cube would you get roughly per ton of unprocessed?

We work off 1.8cube to a ton and that matches what we get from a stack although I have seen some people say less.

I know someone selling a m3 of processed logs, fresh felled though for £35

was offered a dozen felled ash trees between 18"and 9" and about 20ft in length for £300, that was a couple of months ago and the guy said they needed gone by March, they're still there so might see if he'll drop the price. they're in a field next to the road so would need to throw a local farmer a few quid to get them out, but the seller is happy for me to take what I want and leave the brash for him to burn. Sound fair?
