If a new machine was to come on the market that meant twice as much could be achieved in a day, then the first few companies in each area would make a killing until everybody else got one, then we would all be back to square one and charging our old day rate. The only people to benefit would be the customer and the machine manufacturer :thumbdown:.

 

what we need in the business is a way of convincing the customers that we're worth more than an accountant, dentist, vet, hairdresser per hour :thumbup1:

 

Blokes working in our trade 30 years ago didnt have half the tools we've now and probably couldnt acheive half as much per day as is possible now but yet still earn't a good wage. Im sure that if chippers were made illegal for instance we would all still charge the same per day if not more and because jobs would take longer there would be more days of work to see us through the quiet times :sneaky2:
