Passed by these blokes today on my way to...uhm..can't remember where I was off to but this site was in central Guildford. They're work was commissioned by the Guildford tree officer on a site he wanted to re-establish as a meadow. He's had some complaints from the public re his decision so decided to keep some trees and make others into art, until the meadow was restored. The problem is with that site Linda which is next to the Porsche garage on woodbridge meadow is that they pollarded most of the trees about 3 years ago and then did a 2nd phase recently before starting the carving they should have put up a interpretation board from day one to cut the flack. Looking good now though :)

 

Which tree officer did you speak to ? Adam Owen ?
