max bar length on old 254?

as title really ive an old 254 that needs attention, might try n get it fixed, just wondering if it would handle a 20" bar so i could use it as a ringing up saw on bigger wood and preserve the new 346xp.

Depends how patient you are!

 

I want 70cc for ringing up with a 20 inch bar.

 

You're more patient than me then - I'd want more CC's than that, ringing up's boring :biggrin:

 

Personally I'd probably not go bigger than 15" on it if it's a bit tired

I don't ring much stuff up these days! Although 70ccs and a really sharp chain always do the job for any sub 20" material.
