Phone number Spoofing, Sneaky?

Hi Guys

Well when works lean one needs to cast there nets wider,

I see a lot of large companies on there website say call our such and such depot, with a local number to appear local, even though there a actually a few towns away.

 

I regulatory subbie 2-3 hour drives away but for my own work its rare to break away from my local town, which is mostly conifers and not very exciting etc and becoming more and more saturated with landscapers and gardeners buying pole saws and now being tree surgeons too,

 

So does anyone use spoof phone numbers to tap other towns and be that local tree surgeon just down the road, when in reality your a few towns away?

 

Does it work?

 

How much does it cost and what is involved?

If your saying mobile number only, I'm not sure thats a good idea as people may think you live in a caravan.

hi if its something you wont to try get yourself a freephone number attach to land line then divert to your mobile might be worth thinking about ....

Just get a local looking number that goes straight to your mobile. Easy. £5 a month rental then about ten pence a minute I think.

Local land line number was what i was thinking, the pic was just beacuse,,, every one loves a pic, £5 a month sounds reasonable

Get a VOIP account, you then can buy any amount of geographical numbers like the one I have.

 

I have one only because I don't have a bt landline, the Voip number is diverted to my mobile.

I have 3 numbers one edinburgh one east lothian and one borders, I have found that people will really go for a local number and so if i advertise in edinburgh with a borders number i'll get less work. So I have one for each area. Works for me.

Just put local somewhere in your ad people get us all the and say it's because it said local in the ad even when were not local
