Did landscape props and stand-by work on Spike Milligans film - Puckoon. Look after the area where they did the film set for Your Highness, due for release next week - indoor sets at the biggest indoor film set in the world - The Paint Hall Studio Belfast. And put props into City of Embers - Tom Hanks

 

All filmed in Belfast

 

If you want a laugh search for the trailer for "Your Highness" Caution though it's a cert 15

A guy I used to know turned up to do a large felling and a film crew were filming in the property next door they asked him to stop,he managed tp negotiate a very hansome fee to pack up and go home.

only just came cross this thread,american werewolf in london is one of my fave films,the special effects for a film made in 1981 are awesome

 

well i have not worked on the set,but stopped in the tiny welsh village of crickadarn,theres only 6 cottages and 2 churches

crickadarn was the walk in scene to the pub the slaughtered lamb[but only the outside,the inside of pub was in surrey]

one of the cottages was turned into the pub,and the angel of death statue was added to the village centre

crickadarn was east procter in the film a fictitious yorkshire village,crickadarn is a tiny hamlet just above the village of erwood,and erwood is between brecon and builthwells[land of the royal welsh]

in the film when david and jack have a lift off a farmer,when they get out,you can see the sign post for east procter and erwood:001_rolleyes:

other scenes in the film were filmed in the black mountains

A BBC production did a jousting scene. Built a really nice set that someone else has a before shot of. They left it behind for us to use. It was too big/not strong enough to be moved. So we had to take it apart and get rid of it.

I was cammed up in my tank in germany when a van pulled up and started filming

a lads flick just got to the good bits and we had to move , so did they when 70 tons moved the earth
