Unimogs rock thread

Some great mog pics :) , the main reason we stopped running the mogs was because of the way they were being driven by the guys. As soon as they climb in the cab horns grow out of their heads and they seem to think they can roar about in something this heavy in the same manner as a sports car. Way to many "accidents" and nudged gate posts for our insurers, owner drivers no problem but as a fleet vehicle you do need to be very careful who you let behind the wheel.

Saying that we have some scrub clearance on the common which needs the chip taken off site so I will have to reluctantly dig it out of the back of the yard and let the loony`s in it.

Hi Elliot got any tips for a front mount?

Is AC price the best place to get the front links or would we better getting them made ? We have a guy with us who can make just about anything...tilting roof will use a tail lift motor off a Luton.

Go to AC Price, the duckers are used front mount as they spin the correct way for the front PTO ( so i believe) you could use your greenmech mounted on a din plate but you would need a reverse gearbox to turn the shaft clockwise for your chipper.

As per someones earlier post about a U900 with a front mount, this is a smart looking set up, although it does look heavy on the front to me. But shows you the adaptability of unimogs.

From what i can see in the pic you alredy have a dinplate on front Personaly i like din mount over linkage as said there are duckers older ones that spin ainti clockwise like the front pto on mog means the shute gose up the near side the newer ones have a reverse box means they an be run on front or rear the older ones tend to have a fan to assist the draft the newer ones have a 3 blade flywheel with a front and back disc paddles inbetween tha improoves draft no fan needed
