im looking into removing ' goods to the value of' at the mo, sadly this is more an more common in every trade, ccj's dont seem to worry people, small companys cant get much credit from banks so they dont need to keep a good credit score any longer, it can only get worse

i offered to remove goods to the value of the debt once and surprise surprise the money turned up:thumbup: i also suggested opening the sunroof of a posh mercedes to fill it with woodchip, that worked very well and i was paid the amount owing immediately. edit.. pity really as that would have been fun

Yep, owed £12k from a building firm, did the job back in 2009. Next court appearance 2pm, 1st April - hopefully the last. Just got in from a meeting with magistrate friend for advice. You would not believe how detailed the witness statements and evidence has to be; phone records, all emails, letters, proof of whereabouts since they injected so many lies into the mix that the plot is now so thick... crazy.

IMO the CC route is a waste of time if no funds available from the firm. A personal visit to remove property in lieu of payment more effective.

The law on contarcts is different in Scotland from England which also does not help when in legal hassle.

Hope it works out.

Now that I'd like to see. You may not get your money but boy you wouldn't half feel better. Reckon it would be worth writing off a smallish debt just to see the look on their faces.

Similarly, a guy here got peeved with some new government law regarding farming (think it was the cow fart tax or something like that) so he fired up the muck spreader outside one of the government houses. Covered the whole front and steps in the brown smelly stuff. It all ended up in court but I bet he felt tops straight after.
