It's worth remembering that if you have an accident up a tree and are stuck, these are the guys who are expected to get you down. This is why a decent rescue climber is important, not just a groundy with cs38.

That reminds me of when I popped my kneecap while up on spikes. The fire brigade turned up and they all stood around and looked a bit embarrassed that they didn't know what to do!

I suppose that's why they are called the FIRE service and not the emergency TREE service.

Why on earth is the fire service doing tree works. :001_rolleyes:The local council must have a tree team.:confused1:

How do they expect to then chop up the tree when in the middle of the road?

My thoughts exactly, did they leave it on the pavement and close it to pedestrians or are they still there with that blunt axe :001_tt2:

four men fighting with a twig, once its on the ground it takes up half the road, ah well put some more tape round it:thumbdown: we got called to a pussy rescue where the pussy firemen had took four hours to establish it wasn't safe to climb a ladder and rescue a cat. five mins later the cat was down and safe:thumbup: and the firemen went back to their nice warm bunks to get some shuteye for the cashjob treework they do on their days off, because we all know their wage that they striked for isn't enough
