Has any one had problems with there stein visor?

 

They steam up rust on so you cant get them off!

 

I was just about to give up but found a visor that fits on with a flush.

Rust up??? no... not at all

If you dont use vasaline or copper slip on the visor threads there can be a problem with a reaction between the alloy fixing lugs and brass helmet fittings.

 

Ideally lube your lugs before fitting and regularly remove and re lube the lugs on a regular basis to ensure they don't have a chance to have a reaction.

 

I hear the new ear defender mounts are now in the UK and are well worth seeking out.

That's the same visor we sell only we do it cheaper.

just the same as a vertex, they have also had problems in the past nothing is perfect ,in a ideal world they would all be cheap and last forever

Bought one last year, visor att. locked solid with corrosion within a few months, stein declined (through dealer) to do anything about it.

More than twelve months would be an improvement.

Mine is over a year old and cannot fault it for fit and comfort. gets chucked around the truck and the floor like all other helmets and still cannot fault it.

I dont have the "topgun-esque" visor.
