I dont think there is much to choose between makes they all seem break. They often use a common parts bin for things like cam belt tensioners and clutches. The more refinements and electronics you get the more problems you will get water and electrics dont mix. I dont think dual mass flywheels have the meat to absorb the heat when abused so expire prematurely. We have a rule when moving trailers use low box and we normally get 140 - 160k out of a clutch. I would buy what u like to drive with view to good dealer not being far away.

Only read the first page so sorry if this has been said but "when was the D3 discribed as a pickup???" haha

Id say we have all heard of someone with problems of some sort from every pickup manufacturer.

Go for the one with the fewest miles for the cheapest price in the nicest colour. Simples.

hes probably putting in the wrong clutches then! i rarely tow, but when i do it makes a noticable change each time.....they are fitted with the wrong clutches for towing....when mine does go before the 3 years warranty is up(and it will) i'll ask for a solid drum clutch replacement.

It was nisson that put the clutch in he does not tow but carrys a lot of weight i looked in to putting a solid drum in but i was told its the worst thing you could do . Another mate who has a single cab navara 57 plate has just had new clutch . They seem to be very high powerd and quick i think thats why they eat clutches
