hycrack log splitter a yes or a no???

I think so, I use to use one alot, and found them to be quite quick to use, and the logs are already in your hand to chuck into an awaiting trailer. You can also re-split easily for small firewood, If I ever do firewood on any scale I would get one as step 1

Ok as a starter splitter but I changed mine for a ram type splitter.

 

I found with the cone type splitter that morally, I couldn't leave anyone splitting logs for fear of coming back and finding them wrapped around it.

 

I also found myself fighting with the odd log that decided to spin, you can't let go of it or you get your finger squished.

 

In comparison, the new HSE compliant ram type splitters are totally safe and now I can leave my groundy splitting logs without any worries.
