Its an american thing. If you deliver logs and ask if they want firelighters for a pound and kindling they will now sternly say NO. Then go down Tesco and pay 3 times as much. Pressure selling helps no one. It all started with would you like to go supersize with that.

 

You should ask them if they want to supersize their bags of logs for an extra 30p, then chuck in a few bits of kindling.

I have just this minute told someone phoning me on an 0800 number they are a parasite and should get a proper job.

 

I did tell them ever so politely

 

There should be a law against cold calling

 

...and whilst we're on the subject, I had a letter delivered from a new Timberwolf dealer by hand, I do hope they don't cold call at my house because they'll get bogged right off

You can register with a service that stops cold callers after a few weeks if they call or fax you they will get fined by ofcom. No more parasites

They are on bonus incentives to sell you more and more crap. Every time I speak to them they try to offer me either a loan, a credit card or insurance.........and every time I ask them if they would accept this sort of behaviour from a venomous snake? That usually ends the conversation pretty sharpish.

We just cancelled sky as we were told what we ordered would be 48 quid turns out each month it's about 70 never the same price:sneaky2: when we rang to cancel they asked if we had money problems and they would only charge us 9.99 for 6 month but after that it would be 130 quid hw would that help someone if they were having money problems???

I just got rid of sky too, they tried to keep me on but I had already bought and installed a free sat box connected to their satelite dish, thank you!

 

I've lost the DAVE channel but gained BBC iplayer direct on my tv, good swap IMO.

Aye good on you mate! Every bill I got was different and almost twice the price it should be, I've kept my dish and hd box don't know if it's any use?
