If you get a freesat HD box you can plug it straight into the old leads. Some record and some dont, but if you have twin leads already then you can get a recording one (like sky+) They are about 120 for a non recording one and 200+ ish for a twin one, but no more bills and HD without paying for it

 

The Sky HD box will fetch something on e bay.

Yep, its on freeview I think but not on freesat. Freeview in my area was rubbish 4 years ago (might be better now) so I got sky, now I have used the old dish and got freesat and DAVE is not on that, no more top gear all day long!

One thing that really, really, annoys me is the amount of c**p that I find on the doormat when I get home. Every single day now there's about 10 items of unaddressed, unsolicited and unwanted junk mail which goes straight int he recycle bin. Why should I have to through other people's rubbish away for them. If I want a kitchen/windows/to sell my house/chinese food etc I will ask for it! When we have to pay for our domestic waste collection I am going to seal up the letterbox.

 

The latest one is plastic bags for unwanted clothes for "charity" (though I think most are stolen by illegal immigrant gangs from the doorsteps before the charity can collect). Typically I get two or three a week at the moment, sometimes two a day. How many flaming clothes do they think I have?? Anyway, by the time I throw my clothes away no self-respecting vagrant would be seen dead in them.

Moved address so got a form from the bank completed it and sent it back only to get a reply a couple of weeks later saying they couldn't change our address as the signatures didn't match those on record. The letter asked that we fill the forms out again and go to our nearest branch with ID.

 

This we do (where the bank clerk can't understand it as our signatures on her computer look identical to those on her computer).

 

Two weeks later get another letter saying they can't change our address as our signatures don't match those on record and can we complete another form and go to the bank with ID. Meanwhile they are happily sending statements to the wrong address.

 

At this stage, risking being locked in this endless cycle I write a very strong letter to my branch calling them idiots.

 

A week or so later I get reply that my complaint (I didn't complain just called them idiots) had been referred to their complaints department.

 

This morning I get a letter saying that my complaint as been upheld and they will give me £100 compensation!
