I'd have said to make the barrel of the tree smaller? Make it possible to fell with a smaller bar?

I reckon so it goes to mill and fits on timber wagon flush? Looks lovely when selling a bit of timber you can do the work of legends but they only see the dressing up you've done

To fit neatly on the lorry to go to the mill. Also when it gets there its all good wood to go through the machines. Also when it goes in the mill it won't snag as its rolled on. Also easier to line it up to cut. Speaking form experence of milling with an old Stenner bandsaw a poor dressed log can be a pig/

Meaning that, I can't believe that it took half a day to gob and back cut that tree, when you had prepped the tree before hand and cut off the buttress flare.

Had to sharpen the chain twice in the process never want to do another like it, fun and good memories now but it was one hell of a git at the time!
