If i had 100t+ of roaside ash cordwood, nr Sidmouth Devon, @ £55.00 per ton, would there be any takers? (purely market research)

Is that with vat, sounds expensive for roadside although i no timber prices are set to go through the roof.

If you were to charge £ 47 / ton delivered in to cullompton, I would take the lot. You are charging about £ 17 / ton over and above its value, but its yours to sell and you can ask what you want for it. Time will tell.

I got quoted £75 a ton delivered for green ash the other week, needless to say I have'nt bothered, I'd say if it was £55 a ton delivered thats not a bad price from what I've been hearing :thumbup1:

Problem is we may be getting quoted £75 a tonne but alot of timber is gained free from site jobs. Some sites just want the timber cleared. I ordered as much as i could get through the gate at £40 a tonne delivered. I doubt we will bother next year.

£55/tonne would be far too expensive if you were in this area. Been quoted £28/tonne before Xmas from midlands for similar deal. £55 by the time it was processed and seasoned, i would get £70/tonne a lot of work for £15 and i take it price doesn't include delivery? I am paying £25/tonne on average and am getting a lot of stuff free if i pick up at mo.
