not at all, more expensive equipment can generally be better built, do more and will withstand more of a battering.

 

For example, the GRCS, its a lot of money, but its more capable of a lot more things than a £100 stein RC1000. Even though the stein devices are great, this is just an example.

 

I use a tractor when i can, with a front loader, its an expensive piece of kit, but it makes my life so much easier when i can use it, so why not?

No not really you can use as big equipement as you like,

Chainsaw - Bow saw

Really Big chipper - little chipper or smashy with a saw or burn

Forwarder - Hand-ball timber and bad back

Personally I like big Tonka toys, and like shinnny new kit

Big kit is a fact of life,if the competition are using it & it makes them more competitive on prices/saves labour, time, fuel,etc then you have to sink or swim.

It wont go away so you have to change with the times,a shame in some ways like hedge flails as opposed to manual laying of the hedge,godsend in others, like chippers,mewps(sorry Huck)!,stump grinders etc.

Thats going to take you awhile to deliver firewood. But with the cost of fuel these days its a good idea.:thumbup:

thats the plan mate, i will fit my top handle, sequoia, fuel can, silky and collapsable rake in there:thumbup1:. and if i put the back pack blower on backwards it will help on the uphills:thumbup::lol:
