Personally I don't see the point. I mean, you up the bhp by 0.2; wupdeedoo. There's nothing wrong with the poke in a 200t for most, if not all applications. Then you bang the weight up by 1.5 to 2lbs? Judging by the number of people who admitted to using a saw one handed on several occasions the weight increase is going to have a reasonable effect on them (and me) when you start looking at strains, RSI etc. May aswell stick with the 200 IMO though I might actually consider looking at the husky if the first reports are any good.

A certain amount is likely to be due to the tighter emissions restrictions. I still cant see how they would manage to make it SO much heavier though!

Unfortunately, years ago saw manufacurers were always trying to improve performance, durability and build quality.

Now, all they are trying to do is reduce emissions and anti-vibe (rightly so) to tick the correct boxes for marketing restrictions in various countries.

As a result some of the old qualities are being lost along the way IMO.

What about with a 14" bar and one with a 10" bar.

There's more to life than worrying about 1lb

Try taking a dump in a morning, you can lose a good few pounds.

Personally, I reckon if one pound in weight on a saw bothers you, you need to get an office job

I want power and speed of cut and if that means an extra two pounds, I can live with that.

I doubt it would take months of weight training to handle the extra weight :sneaky2:
