Branch walking advice

Hi

Ive been practicing for a couple of months now since my course and have been doing quite well but the one thing that is slowing me up is branch walking.

I find i can get a high anchor point and get out around 3 metres ok but then have trouble getting a second anchor piont in and reaching out to hook up to it.

Any advice would be great

Thanks

Have you tried wrapping a sling round he nearest suitable branch. Attaching a krab and running your climbing line through that ( Redirect ) ? . Gives you a better angle to work from sometimes :001_smile:

I still struggle doing branch walking Unless the branch is massive :) Have you'r main anchor point in the tree and your second out on a branch above ya head. Have you lanyard either on the same branch you'r walking on or above your head Nice and safe then

All you can do is practise and practise
