...........that should know when it's time to give up the ghost of a once quasi glorious past. :blushing:

 

Here's me last year - pretty much the last time that I climbed a tree in anger (apart from the odd climbing inspection/fung hunt)

 

It's probably almost ten years now, since i was anything closely resembling a good climber.

 

But It's in me blood, & I'm loathe to stop completely.

 

I often remember something Skyhuck has quoted more than a few times

 

"Use it or lose it" :thumbup1:

 

So I keep on truckin on here and there, but it's slowly grinding toward a halt. :thumbdown:

 

 

Any other 'once apon a time' climbers, struggling to come to terms with the reality of life/career moving on ???

 

 

Not looking for points awarded for stylish dismantle btw, I made a pigs ear of it :biggrin:

Was that a back cut in the main pole while you were still roped in above it I spied??? :scared1:

 

Nice set of pics. It's good to see that us oldies can still climb, but we are sensible enough to choose not too :lol:

 

 

 

Just a marker my dear (old habit), the minds eye aint as acute as it once was. :biggrin:

You are climbing in a fishermans body warmer, of course you are going to feel old coz you look it.:001_rolleyes:

Die your hair blonds, cut the sleeves off of a t shirt 3 sizes to wee for you, get a stein lid with the shades built in and get some gecko spikes, say ' yo dood' ' happening man ' and stuff and you will be well rad:thumbup1:
