Fed up with Britain?

We can do that too. I'm half hour drive from the ski fields. Temps get down to about freezing at night in winter on the central plateau but the days are stunning. Warm enough to work all day in a sweat shirt but never that biting cold (I worked in North Wales for two and half years) that's associated with the UK winters. I also worked in OZ for a year and the heat is a killer. I didn't even want to spend time at the beach because it was so hot (two days at 50 degrees out on the tarmac). Summer meant finding somewhere with aircon. The further north you went the more humid it got. I was based out west of Sydney so Winter meant -2 at night then 27 degrees during the day; you just couldn't dress for that sort of nonsense. I do sometimes miss the heavy snow falls you guys get in the UK but I'm glad I made the move here and, now having dual nationality, I can come and go between OZ, UK, NZ and the islands as I please so I'm on a winner all round really.

Heading over to BC in May to see what the employment situation is. I lived there years ago and have been doing some research over the web, but I think being there in the flesh can't be beat for fact-finding.

 

Very temperate on the coast and if you avoid Vancouver itself (Victoria e.g) not that rainy.

Same here its great Been spring snowboarding then to the beach in one day.where else can you do that?

Im going for my visa for the US very soon, and if I dont get it, Im going to seriously consider Oz or NZ.

Once youv'e been to oz you cant get rid of the itch to go back ..thats nothing to do with the bugs either.

Australia's a great place,if you want a change of lifestyle and a better climate certain parts of the country would suit you.NSW and Victoria a good choice for milder weather, Queensland,Darwin And North of WA if you dont mind hotter temperatures(40 plus in the wet season now)

What Arb qualifications have you all had to be emigrating to such places?

I've always fancied Canada myself, they seem to have a great quality of life over there.

 

And certain parts of South Africa...arb is still in its infancy there and I reckon you could set up a good business whilst the competition is scarce.
