Over the years i`ve had allsorts of comments and questions from customers, some rediculous, some with the best intensions, but many end up leaving me very puzzled wondering where they got that from, or just leave me splitting my sides.

A couple of mine are;

After spending half an hour on site setting up chipper etc with customer watching, enter the tree and set a nice anchor, ask the groundy for the 200, the customer shouts up;

"would you like a cup of tea?"

Sometimes when pricing i get;

"you do take the stuff away, dont you?"

So, please post a few you have encountered and give us a laugh.

Oh, and dont forget the "how long will it take?"

"It will grow back.....wont it!??"

"can you cut those feathery bits off"

"while I have you here......."

Just as you pull your rope down "can you take it a bit lower?!!"

After loading all the logs on to the truck " Oh can i keep the logs!"

Reducing big conifier hedge, customer watching you most of the day. Finished tidying up the cusomer comes over and says " Can you just take a few more inches of please. Yes inches not feet, I couldn't help but laugh but they were serious. I did ask if they were joking.

"Do you need an extension lead for your tools?"

"How did you get up there?!"

"Hang on, there's only 2 of you - I thought you were tree fellas" (irish accent required).

One guy that made me chuckle kept asking if I "would like some cheese?". A cup of coffee would have sufficed.
