I am looking for a supplier in France that sell the stihl 192t chainsaw as my 020 have all seen better days .

 

Any help would be good

hi graham I have just brought another one from the states from this guy on ebay sent it straight away but the only thing was i had to pay £50 import charge.

With regards to buying them from france you can buy them from most b&q type stores. Try calling a stihl dealer in dublin they will send one over nxt day.

where in france are you visiting? most stihl stockists have it, i'm in brittany and know of 4 local stores that have it. you dont need any paperwork to go and buy one either.

Asked a Stihl rep about the 192t and because they are not sold in the UK you will be the sole importer of the saw. This means the saw won't be covered by warranty in the UK and you will have to fix it at your own cost. That is what I believe. Also as I understand that the saw is not as good as the 200t and it is really for the Eastern European market. Please don't quote me on this but it is what I understand after I thought about getting 1 myself from Slovakia.

The only reason stihl reps here say that is because if the dealers repair these saws under "warranty" they dont get paid!

 

Strangely enough though, they CAN get parts for them!

My boss bought one off ebay, that had already been imported. By looking at the writing on the saw we think it was from spain originally, just a guess though.

 

He swears buy it, but i dont like it, and always use my 020.

good little saw, had one for 3 years and only use it for reductons and topping conny hedges and back up duties, would have another anyday.

The 192 is more a hobbysaw, my dealer would not sell it to anyone who has used a 200T before.

The same Stihl Rep said that Husky for some reason put a twist into the anti vibration springs on the saws which shortens the life of the springs. Huh???
