hi graham I have just brought another one from the states from this guy on ebay sent it straight away but the only thing was i had to pay £50 import charge.

With regards to buying them from france you can buy them from most b&q type stores. Try calling a stihl dealer in dublin they will send one over nxt day.

if you get it from france it has the ce marking on it

Asked a Stihl rep about the 192t and because they are not sold in the UK you will be the sole importer of the saw. This means the saw won't be covered by warranty in the UK and you will have to fix it at your own cost. That is what I believe. Also as I understand that the saw is not as good as the 200t and it is really for the Eastern European market. Please don't quote me on this but it is what I understand after I thought about getting 1 myself from Slovakia.

Life according to a rep eh? Tut!

 

The only reason stihl reps here say that is because if the dealers repair these saws under "warranty" they dont get paid!

 

Strangely enough though, they CAN get parts for them!:sneaky2:
