I've prefer the Navara. The L200 is nice but the cab of the Navara is a nice place to be. The 4work L200 is quite good off road even on 50/50 tyres and it drags around a 2.8t tipping trailer well. Doesn't like reversing up slopes even slight drives without stinking of clutch. Its quite nice to drive on the moterway.

As for a tippper i've often thought about it but its quite expensive and you don't get a lot of load weight.

I drove a mk 6 double cab hilux and was not impressed I thought maybe it was because I was trying to replace the landcruiser with it. I have a mk4 tipper and its great only has 700kg load cap but does our job a treat. There is a mk 6 tipper conversion on Boulter Tippers - for new build, frames, repair and servicing of all types of tipper body . Maybe try a mk 5 and get it converted that way you should keep some build quality and get the d4d engine with 40mpg rather than the 23 we get out of ours.

A chap I contract to has run a few L200's and bought a brand new factory fitted tipper super cab earlier in the year.He seems pleased with it but did have to uprate the springs at a cost of £500 after finding the tow hitch was dragging on speed bumps when the back was loaded.Seems Mitsy just chop the regular bed off and replace it with a steel tipping body without uprating the suspension?!
