We are based on a farm that we share with a tree surgeon/gardener and stables. Since we set up down there the gardener has tried to order wood cords from our supplier (who refused) and then got them from elsewhere. He has basically copied everything we are doing and is supplying wet unseasoned softwood to his clients. Personally I would punch his lights out :001_rolleyes:, but the other half has got to work down there until we can find an other farm. What would you do?

Dunno what he is charging, but his wood and kindling is crap. I am pretty sure that none of it is going through the tax man, so once we are out of there I might give them a tinkle he he.

I rent a barn on a farm where there are two other firewood merchants, there are another three firewood merchants within barely a square mile, we all seem to get a living.I wouldnt worry about it,if your logs are good you wont have any problem selling them

I can see how it might put your nose out ,but just ensure your clients that your wood is seasoned, and explain the difference,no point in resorting to violence or skulduggery, just compete.:001_smile:
