been doing a bit of weeding and tidying up for one of my mams friends, an elderly lady.

i immediately noticed a 2-3ft DBH, 2ft high stump in the middle of her lawn.

we got talking over a coffee and she explained that the "tree surgeon" who cut down her cherry tree several years ago told her that it was "impossible" to cut the stump flush with the ground (never mind grinding the stump out!)!:sneaky2:

how lazy??? i mean, you can still see the remains of a hinge in amongst the moss and debris. And she has been waiting for the stump to rot away, as she believed it was her only option.

i didnt have a saw with me but ill be going back next week to sort it, it will take all of.... oo i dunno... 5 minutes?

just makes me mad that people get away with shoddy work like that!
