Tonights wind

Sitting here at my PC near the window, I am basically waiting for the window to blow in. The wind is gusting incredibly hard- probably no more than about 70mph, but you can see the glass flexing, and the windows are very old.

Is it mega windy elsewhere? I understand west scotland is getting it a bit too?

Yes Tommer, Ireland's a bit blowy too. It's starting to ease off on the west coast now, so it'll probably ease to the east of me throughout the night.

Wind is booming in the chimney here in Essex, Tommer. So windy here today that we had a tree in a neighbouring garden blow over, nearly hitting the front of the Mog when we were working on some willows in a park. Finished the day with an emergency callout to a Eucalyptus down across 2 gardens and a conservatory.

We got 65 mph gusts at Dorchester i live 20 miles from dorch and its must been blowing about that everynow and then. I will be doin a tree check tomorrow morning before we do anything.
