Waterproofing ya boots!

Just buy Hiax, then you will never need to touch them.

 

I'd read that you actively shouldn't put any waterproofign onto Haix as it can damage them - not sure how?

The best I've found is Sno Seal Beeswax. The stuff is awesome and inexpensive. Two thumbs up!

that nikwax water based stuff is purdy good. good old fashioned dubbin onto clean warm leather, or some horsey saddle stuff.

 

Or SealSkinz socks best 30 buck ive spent in a while, no need to throw out my knackered old favourite boots now, theyre water proof again.

Got my first pair of meindl boots, they say only use meindl wax bla bla bla.

 

Any truth in this or can any of the stuff work on the leather?

And I never have to put anything on them.

One of the guys or Arbouristsite reccomended Bag Balm to me Bag Balm - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

 

So now i dry out the boots heat em up quick and put on as much Bag Balm as they will soak in.

I wear them for a day then coat them with Nikwax cream, They stay supple and waterproof for months!

hahaha yes i accidently went wading in the haixes last month and they took a few days to dry out fully, i couldn't find my old pair straight away so worked in the chainsaw wellies, uncomfy or what..? and yes i wore spikes and dismantled a couple of cherries with them on.. ouch:blushing:
