college had a two minute silence and the exhortation at the flagpole at 11 o clock today. well attended, especially by the younger students.

driving past a war memorial today and the pavement around was packed with people, i had just put the radio on and thought it was on mute or something, then they played a song with 'remember me' in the lyrics so i knew something was going on, i didn't know beforehand at all as there is no radio in the work tug (i was driving the womans disco) and i never watch the news so am painfully ill informed these days..

what can i say. disgusted, horrified. i could go on, but for you to say that you are ill informed about this day is crass. the fact that people have been wearing poppies for the last week or so should have given you a clue. i suggest you do some penance and make a huge donation to the Royal British Legion.

Harsh but true . Too many people forget to easily these days . I have been speaking to a fellow arbtalker and we are both in agreement that this subject is very controversial for some . Although for me its about the fallen and there familys .

A ex marine came into the school were we carry out some of our work and gave a talk on his time in Afghanistan. He stood on a mine and lost his left arm and leg. He was a total inspiration to every one there showing that you cant let life get you down . I have the up most respect for every one who fights for our country both past and present if it wasn't for them we may not be here today .

We had a late "breakfast" at 11am, planned it that way so we didnt forget in the heat of a felling frenzy. Had my poppy tucked in the vent on the Vertex, though it got a bit wet and bedraggled in the crappy weather.
