Nice one james.

Quite rare that we get a big dismantle like that. Wish they were more often.

 

i used to be like that but now a days its more like ahhh gotta get up that big thing, but i do still love doing them i guess..... if you can get a crane to it :lol:

next time roll the big lumps over to where you are stacking them:001_rolleyes: That way you could of had it all done today:biggrin:

 

oh and get a bigger bucket, maybe even a dumpy bag, that way you could of got an early finish:001_tt2:

Do you know the failure history?

 

 

Another fine example to prove that 'Beech' can take a topping & be able to sustain itself.

Fun little job yesterday morning. This Ash had split pretty bad at the base and was leaning against the Sycamore. Some of the buttress was completely rotten and it was impossible to tell how much of the weight of the Ash was being supported by the Sycmore.

 

Climbed the Sycamore, had a quick look around. Set a line on the Ash, came down and tensioned it with the Navara. Then went back up the Sycamore and started whittling away at some of the crossing branches so it would Fell without getting caught up. Came down without any trouble.
