Not a large reduction by any stretch but I was over the moon with how it turned out considering it was only my third reduction. The spec was for a 20% reduction and thin, stupidly I didn't get a before picture

Not too exciting but just thought I'd share.

 

Horrible leaning ash fell with a pull line. Left a big hinge, felled high but went spot on to plan

I was lucky, I was working for a farmer.

 

With him sat on his 250 horsepower tractor pulling at the tree, he wasn't interested in the understanding of a hinge, let alone how fine the example was. Throttle was all he needed.

 

Is it worthy of a rating in the hinge thread though, it was a hinge after all, just an 18 stone type hinge?
