The problem is that its the public's money being spent on tree work, and in these ever-tightening times they want to see what they perceive to be value for money. In Rich's fine example, Joe Public wouldnt be able to tell what the money has been spent on. Whereas a 40% reduction is clear to all how much has been done.

How do we educate the public better? And do they care, its still going to drop leaves in their gutters, on their lawns, trees to many are a nuisance....til they're gone.

 

By showing them examples of fine work like above and not giving in to the requests of 30-40-50%

 

trouble is i know this is not always possible!

Finnish off yesterdays conifer hedge then attack the laurel

We have moved 3 tons of chip from these hedges. She was happy with end result and said she must get them done more often:thumbup:

 

Thanks Old Snake, I do a lot of hedges so just have to put up with it

can be satisfying at times when you see the end result
